ecialized in cutting graphite, especially large blocks. It can cut up to 1.3 meters in width, 800 millimeters in thickness, with a stroke length of 4 meters, and the saw frame can be raised to a maximum height of 850 millimeters. Large graphite pieces such as graphite electrodes, graphite plates, graphite molds, and graphite components for photovoltaic thermal fields can be placed and cut directly.
Three prominent aspects
1. High Speed
The linear cutting speed of the saw blade can reach up to 2,000 meters per minute—significantly faster than standard band saws. It also features stepless speed regulation; the speed can be easily adjusted via a variable frequency drive (VFD)—slowing down for hard graphite and speeding u for soft graphite.
2. Stable cutting and high precision
Servo motors paired with ball screws are used for both vertical movement and the longitudinal (front-to-back) movement of the worktable, avoiding the inconsistent speeds typical of older hydraulic systems. High-rigidity guide rails from brands like Hiwin and PMI (Taiwan) are employed. The resulting graphite end faces are smooth and flat, eliminating the need for repeated finishing work.
3. Rugged and durable; specifically optimized for graphite dust.
Cutting graphite generates significant dust, which easily infiltrates standard equipment. On this machine, all lead screws and guide rails are sealed with stainless steel armored guards or bellows-style covers to keep dust out. It also features an automatic lubrication system that halts operation if lubricant flow is insufficient, preventing dry running.
